It's safe to say that OU is handling the situation just fine. Taylor Spears is proving to be a great successor so far, taking the AA.
It looked like Georgia was going to take this one. Even Shayla managed to stay on her apparatuses. And then this happened:
So Oklahoma took the win, their first ever in Athens.
I didn't follow the other meets this day (which made it much calmer than Friday evening, trying to keep track of all the live scores!) but I did check in on Lindenwood's team at their DII premier competition.
Welcome to the crazy, Lindenwood. The school posted a 185.925 (getting beat out by Denver and Penn State) but they are a young team, and it'll take time - especially on bars. It was awesome to see a new team though! Also, we did see Denver's Nina McGee score a 9.9 on bars.
Central Michigan beat Wisconsin-Eau Claire at home, Hamline hosted Wisconsin-Osh Kosh and lost, and Ohio State won over Bowling Green, with OSU's Melanie Shaffer beating BGSU's Megan Harrington for the AA.
